You will find this grid when you lift a rug to see its bottom. Materials like wool are shot through the grid with a tufting gun. The material is then cut or shaved to creative design and overall completeness.
- Hand-loomed and the common flat weave: A loom is a weaving machine that takes into account both handcrafted work and a few loom shortcuts in the art of weaving. The traditional product of a loom is a flat weave. Its thinness in appearance is the result of a strong pattern that’s created from compact knotting.
