Socket G34 placa madre de computadora para AMD

Upgrade your Computer with an AMD Socket G34 Motherboard

An AMD Socket G34 motherboard with DDR3 is a good replacement to consider for a motherboard that failed or to select for an upgrade.

What is a motherboard?

Like a brain in a human or an engine in a car, the Socket G34 motherboard is the central hub of your computer. It attaches to your power supply and it connects dual processes with all the inputs and outputs. The base of it is typically made of a thin piece of non-conductive plastic. Depending on the CPU construction, it usually also has thin sheets of copper or aluminum foil printed over the plastic base. These dual conductive layers over the base are what forms the circuit connections between different parts of your computer and the CPU.

What parts are attached to a motherboard?

All the circuits that send voltage from your power supply to your hard drive and video card are on it. There are also places to attach cooling fans to keep your machine from overheating. Additionally, chips are installed to form bridges between each major part of your computer. Some of your main motherboard components include the following:

  • A processor and a socket: Your processor is also known as a CPU. This, along with the socket, makes contact to your mainboard and acts like a general that gives orders to perform computational actions. Anything you do on your device is run by it.
  • Memory and memory card slots: A computer usually has internal memory installed in it. Most motherboards also have empty slots where you can add more memory if you need it for video game playing, movie watching, or graphics creation.
  • Ports for external devices: Most computing boards have USB, HDMI, and stereo ports. This provides you a way to back-up your data, run a camera, or listen to music. Additional external ports also allow you to plug in monitors, a keyboard, a mouse, a microphone, and other hardware.
  • Ethernet or DSL port: If you would prefer a wired LAN connection instead of a wireless one, some motherboards still provide these.
  • Video card slots: This internal card is what gives you the power to run video games. Most computers have 3D or 4D capabilities and they typically support high-definition video.

What CPUs do the AMD Socket G34 motherboards support?

This socket usually supports processors with four or more cores up to 16 total. However, it could provide support for dual-core CPUs. AMD originally designed the Socket G34 to support the Opteron 6000 series of processors. Having dual cores or a processor with several cores is what increases your device’s capacity to handle information. In addition, the G34 supports DDR3 processing speeds of up to 64 times a computer's memory clock rate.
